I have very thick wavy medium length hair with quickly building debris on my scalp.  I was wary that it wouldn't clean well since the formula was so liquidy. It took a couple of washes with more product than anticipated but that's  par for the course for me with store bought shampoo. So overall I'd  say the product is worth the extra wash to avoid all the preservatives I'm allergic to.
